STAFF PROFILE: Malik Ray, A& E

A Very Dramatic Writer: Malik Ray
Arts & Entertainment Correspondent

When it comes to drama, you could say Malik Ray has it covered. Well, he'll cover Arts and Entertainment for The Girard JOURNAL your on-line student newspaper. From the school play, to the Spring Concert, and every entertaining event in between Malik will be there to bring you a first hand account.

Malik is entering 8th grade in September. He came to Girard College in fourth grade, and has a sister here as well, in "Good Friends" the elementary school at Girard College. Malik is the middle child of six siblings and lives in the Fairmount section of the city. He lived in South Philadelphia before that and attended the Universal Institute Charter School. [That school is operated by Universal Enterprises, and Kenny Gamble of the famous Philadelphia "Gamble and Huff"].

Malik takes his work so seriously, he even played a role in the school play "Seasons of Broadway" this spring at Girard College. Malik enjoys science and enjoys good grades for his hard work.

We look forward to Malik's hard work, and his dramatic reports beginning this summer while he's at GETS Technology Camp. It should be very entertaining.
